Alpine Peak Designs was started in 2018 by Nori Cram. She grew up in Japan. She worked at TaylorMade Golf Japan for 6 years, and she had an opportunity to see several sports bland and got into outdoor sports. (Taylormade Golf is in the Adidas group, and at that time Salomon, Mavic and Bonfire were in the same group company.) She moved to Whistler Canada in 2006 to have more experiences and enjoy the outdoor environment. Since then she has done mountain biking, skiing, kayaking, canoeing, golfing, hiking, camping, backpacking, baking etc. She built professional skills as are Pastry chef and Red Seal baker in Canada, but she loves to be outside and enjoys backpacking, hiking and camping when she is off.
She starts looking for something lightweight design a wallet, water bottle holder and pouches to take them on a camping trip, but there are not many options in Canada. So that’s the reason she started a DIY project.
